Suitable for all ages, explore the site at your own pace with 3 walking tracks covering some truly amazing active volcanic features, mud pools and colorful geo-thermal pools. At 10:15AM every morning see a presentation at the Lady Knox Geyser to learn more about the history of the region and see the Geyser erupt up to 20 meters in height.

We recommend visiting Wai-O-Tapu in time for the Lady Knox geyser eruption, Wai-O-Tapu itself followed by lunch & cultural tour at Te Puia. From there a tour of the city, lake front and an activity or two such as the luge before dinner at Aorangi Peak restaurant. Famous for it's on site deer farm, home stay for celebrities and the best sunset views from the highest peak in the city.

An alternative option replacing Te Puia is visiting Huka Falls, Wairakei and lake Taupo with dinner at one of Taupo's top eateries Vine or Rose on Roberts.
